Peshawar:Barrister Dr. Saif, Advisor to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Information and Public Relations, has stated that Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur has taken serious and concrete steps to eliminate terrorism in the merged districts. He emphasized that all stakeholders, including political parties, were expected to treat this critical issue with the seriousness it deserves.
In this regard, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government will soon convene an All Parties Conference (APC) to establish peace and order in the merged districts. Invitations will be extended to all political parties to participate in the conference. Additionally, the Chief Minister has summoned a key meeting of elected members of the National and Provincial Assemblies from the merged districts to discuss the way forward.
Dr. Saif added that people from all walks of life and the public of the merged districts will also be involved in this inclusive process. He further emphasized that Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur was fully committed to restoring peace and stability in the merged districts.
“Terrorism can only be eradicated through collective responsibility and joint efforts,” Dr. Saif said. He highlighted that the provincial government under the leadership of Chief Minister Gandapur is taking practical and effective steps toward ending terrorism and putting the merged districts on the path of development.
Addressing the challenges faced by the people of the merged districts is a top priority of the provincial government. Dr. Saif stressed that sustainable peace in these areas cannot be achieved without resolving long-standing deprivations and grievances. He reminded that the very purpose of the FATA merger was to bring the tribal districts on par with the rest of the province in terms of rights, development, and opportunities.
