KP Advisor Barrister Dr. Saif Discusses Regional Security, Political Climate with British High Commission Delegation

Meeting covers India’s baseless allegations, KP’s counterterrorism strategy, and PTI leadership’s legal challenges; British officials commend provincial initiatives

ISLAMABAD:Advisor to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Information & Public Relations, Barrister Dr. Saif, met with a delegation from the British High Commission in Islamabad today. The delegation included Head of Political Section, Zoe Weir, and Political Counsellor, Cormac.During the meeting, both sides held detailed discussions on the overall political situation of the country and the state of peace and security in the region. They also addressed the situation that emerged following the recent incident in Pahalgam.

Barrister Dr. Saif briefed the delegation on the baseless allegations made by India against Pakistan and shed light on the nefarious designs of the Modi government. Discussions also covered the political landscape of Pakistan, including the illegal cases against Imran Khan and other detained leaders of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).The meeting further reviewed the incidents of terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the effective measures taken by the provincial government to counter them. Barrister Dr. Saif informed the delegation that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has allocated billions of rupees to enhance the capabilities of the police and the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD). Additionally, efforts have been intensified to accelerate development in the tribal districts.

He emphasized that under the leadership of the Chief Minister, the provincial government is giving special attention to the sectors of health, security, and education in the tribal areas.The British delegation appreciated the public welfare initiatives and the counterterrorism efforts undertaken by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, assuring their full support and cooperation.At the conclusion of the meeting, Barrister Dr. Saif expressed his sincere thanks to the visiting delegation for their interest and commitment.
