KP Advisor criticizes Sharif’s family for tarnishing Pakistan’s reputation, alleges money laundering and tax evasion in UK and Pakistan.
Peshawar: Advisor to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Information and Public Relations, Barrister Dr. Saif, has stated that Hassan Nawaz, a member of the Sharif family, has been declared a tax defaulter in London. He remarked that the Sharif family is now being exposed as tax evaders on an international level.
Dr. Saif pointed out that while people usually go abroad to bring honor to their homeland, the Sharif family is tarnishing Pakistan’s reputation. He highlighted that former Prime Minister Imran Khan elevated Pakistan’s standing on the international stage, whereas the Sharif family has been a source of disgrace.
He further criticized the Sharif family’s failure to comply with stringent tax regulations in the United Kingdom, alleging that half of their family is engaged in tax evasion in London while the other half continues the same practice in Pakistan. According to him, their business empire in Pakistan is flourishing due to tax evasion, while other investors face bankruptcy.
Dr. Saif reiterated that the Sharif family has a history of money laundering and has mastered the art of transferring illicit wealth abroad. He accused them of looting the national treasury and acquiring properties in London and other foreign countries. He added that while they govern Pakistan, their assets are accumulated overseas.
He concluded by stating that tax evaders and corrupt individuals can never succeed in fostering national unity. The nation, he claimed, is frustrated with this corrupt group, and achieving national cohesion is impossible as long as they remain in power.
