Peshawar:Advisor to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Information and Public Relations, Barrister Dr. Saif, has issued a strong statement regarding the allocation of reserved seats, urging the opposition parties to demonstrate moral courage by refusing seats that, he claims, rightfully belong to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
In his statement, Dr. Saif said, “If the opposition parties possess even an ounce of moral integrity, they should reject the reserved seats being handed to them. While the law and judiciary are bound by the 26th Constitutional Amendment, moral courage remains free from its constraints.”
He added that the reserved seats are solely the right of PTI but have been put up for “auction” through court rulings. “First, PTI’s mandate was stolen through Form 47, and now its reserved seats are being distributed among others. The fake government has tried every tactic to eliminate PTI, but it has failed miserably. In fact, every attempt to suppress PTI has only made the party stronger.”
Dr. Saif welcomed the statement by Amir Haider Khan Hoti regarding refusal to accept reserved seats, calling it a positive sign. He also called on Maulana Fazlur Rehman to demonstrate similar Islamic values and moral courage. “Maulana Fazlur Rehman had parted ways with PTI during the 26th Amendment; now he must follow the example of Amir Haider Khan Hoti,” he said.
He further stated, “Despite the deceitful tactics of this illegitimate government, the public chose PTI. But overnight, the results were manipulated, turning PTI’s majority into a minority. After stealing the mandate, they passed the 26th Amendment and are now securing favorable rulings from the courts.”
Condemning the exclusion of PTI from its rightful reserved seats by the judiciary, Dr. Saif emphasized that all political parties should have the moral strength to reject these seats. “Everyone knows these reserved seats were earned by PTI. Any attempt to destroy the party through such tactics is nothing more than a dream that can never become reality.”
He concluded by saying, “Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Imran Khan live in the hearts of the people. No low-handed political maneuver can change that.”
