Peshawar: Barrister Dr Saif, Advisor to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Information and Public Relations, has called upon those who convened the Parliamentary Committee on National Security to clarify why Nawaz Sharif boycotted the meeting. He questioned whether Nawaz Sharif’s absence indicated support for terrorists or if his health—specifically his platelet count—had once again deteriorated, preventing his attendance.
Barrister Dr. Saif criticized the government’s approach, stating that imprisoning PTI leaders has undermined the possibility of a national consensus. He emphasized that, just like the previous five operations, it is essential to strengthen national unity before launching any new operation against terrorism. According to him, the government’s emotional rhetoric and repetitive statements cannot effectively counter terrorism.
He asserted that PTI genuinely represents the nation’s unity and sentiments against terrorism and stands firmly with the brave individuals who have sacrificed their lives in the fight against terrorism.
