Barrister Dr. Saif claims petrol should be Rs. 20 cheaper, accuses govt of withholding relief despite global oil price slump

PESHAWAR:Advisor to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Information and Public Relations Barrister Dr. Saif has criticized the government’s failure to provide meaningful relief to the public despite a consistent drop in global crude oil prices. He stated that the recent reduction in fuel prices is negligible and compared it to “a drop in the ocean.”Dr. Saif said that, based on international market trends, petrol prices should have been reduced by at least Rs. 20 per liter during April alone. He accused the “fake government” of depriving the public of relief by suspending fuel price reductions twice in April. According to him, the government only offers relief through advertisements, not through real action. He further claimed that crude oil prices have now dropped below the levels seen during Imran Khan’s tenure, when petrol was priced at Rs. 150 per liter. Dr. Saif emphasized that Imran Khan is the only leader who can genuinely provide relief to the people.
