Peshawar: Advisor to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Information and Public Relations, Barrister Dr. Muhammad Ali Saif, paid a visit to the Peshawar Chamber of Small Traders & Small Industry and held an interactive session with the Chamber’s members and business community.
During the session, Barrister Dr. Saif lauded the role of the business community, terming it the “backbone for the development of society.” He said that small traders and entrepreneurs are a vital force for economic stability and social progress.
On the occasion, traders presented the problems and challenges being faced by the business community. Barrister Dr. Saif assured them that their issues will not only be taken up with the relevant departments but also placed before the Chief Minister himself. He further announced that interactive sessions between the business community and government departments will also be arranged to ensure direct communication and timely resolution of concerns.
Addressing media persons, Barrister Dr. Saif emphasized that the economy is like the “blood in the veins of our society” and without a strong economy, real progress is impossible. He added that the province cannot afford to devastate its economy and every possible step will be taken to promote local trade, strengthen small industries, and create a more conducive environment for business.
Members of the Chamber expressed their appreciation for the Advisor’s visit and welcomed the government’s commitment to supporting and strengthening small traders. The session concluded with a renewed resolve to advance trade, support small industries, and contribute to the overall economic development of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
