Peshawar:A delegation of the Tochi Welfare Organization called on Advisor to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Information and Public Relations, Barrister Dr. Muhammad Ali Saif, at his office for an important meeting in which detailed discussions were held on the challenges faced by the people of North Waziristan. The delegation was led by Tochi Welfare Organization’s General Secretary Mamoor Jan Dawar and Patron Engineer Rehmatullah Khan.
The delegation briefed the Adviser on the law and order situation in North Waziristan, challenges in social development, issues faced by journalists , and public difficulties in dealing with government departments.
They also proposed an increase in the grant for the North Waziristan Press Club, addressed the challenges being faced by Miranshah and Razmak radio stations, and suggested the establishment of a new radio station in Mir Ali.
The issue of blocked CNICs was also raised during the meeting. The delegation pointed out that ordinary citizens are facing difficulties in accessing the committee set up in Miranshah to hear blocked CNIC cases, and appealed to the Adviser to play an effective role in resolving the matter.
Barrister Dr. Saif appreciated the efforts of Tochi Welfare Organization in highlighting the problems of the people of North Waziristan and showing a genuine interest in resolving them. He emphasized that the development and progress of the tribal districts is a top priority of the provincial government, and under the leadership of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, the government is making serious efforts in this regard.
The Adviser also lauded the organization’s services in the fields of education, healthcare, and youth welfare, and assured the delegation that all raised issues would be taken up with the relevant departments and addressed at the earliest possible.
